Mr. Choi Sang-mok, Acting Agent of Chaos, are you blocking the arrest of Yoon Suk-yeol, the Chief Conspirator of Insurrection, to advance your own political ambitions?
Mr. Choi Sang-mok, Acting President, or should we say, "Acting Agent of Chaos", have you decided to fully embrace this title?
Sunwoo Kang, Chair of International Committee, Democratic Party of Korea |
As the world watched through live broadcasts, international media eagerly reported on the attempted arrest of Yoon Suk-yeol, the chief conspirator of insurrection. The mission failed spectacularly, leaving South Korea’s global reputation in tatters.
What kind of audacity, Mr. Choi, emboldens you to obstruct the judiciary’s execution of a lawful arrest warrant? Is this the same misplaced confidence you displayed as Deputy Prime Minister for the Economy, when you dragged the economy into ruin? Are you now playing the role of a leader who "cares" or merely pretending to? Or perhaps the scolding you received from the People Power Party, after appointing only two of the three constitutional justices, has left you cowering? Could it be that you are deliberately sabotaging Yoon Suk-yeol’s arrest to appease his loyal base and position yourself as the ruling party’s next presidential hopeful?
Do not ignore your duty to uphold the Constitution and the law. As Acting President, you alone have the authority to direct the Presidential Security Service (PSS) to cooperate with the execution of the arrest warrant. How can the person entrusted with restoring order stand idly by while chaos runs rampant?
Let me remind you. Obstructing the arrest of an insurrectionist makes you an accomplice to insurrection. The defiance of the PSS must end immediately. Mr. Choi, you must act decisively. Relieve Park Jong-joon, Director of the PSS; Kim Sung-hoon, Deputy Director of the PSS; and Lee Gwang-woo, Director of Security Operations, of their duties without delay.
Your current position of hesitant inaction amounts to nothing less than collusion. If you cannot dedicate yourself to serving the nation and its people, then I suggest you relinquish your role as Acting President entirely.
To the PSS, open your ears and listen carefully. Obstructing the execution of an arrest warrant is nothing less than a second act of insurrection. History leaves no omissions. Every action will be recorded in meticulous detail, and there will be no escape from the consequences. Stop following illegal and unjust directives. Instead, obey the only command that truly matters: the will of the people.
The PSS is not Yoon Suk-yeol’s private security force. It is the people’s security service. Your duty is to safeguard the sovereignty of the citizens, not the interests of a single individual.
And you, Mr. Choi Sang-mok, are not Yoon Suk-yeol’s Acting President. Your duty is to serve as the Acting President of the people. The time has come to decide where your allegiance truly lies.
